The latest science tells us that almost every aspect of our health, from mental health to disease and cancer prevention, revolves around a healthy gut.

And a healthy gut depends on a healthy microbiome – that invisible world inside our bodies where microbes – fungi, bacteria and viruses - congregate and flourish, breaking down food, training our immune system and even affecting how we feel.

This is our inspiration for Inside Out – the UK’s first Microbiome and Gut Health Festival,  which takes the stage in the City of London this September.

The London event will mark the start of a three-year tour to towns and cities around the UK.  A national celebration, a new way to think about health and wellbeing.

Step inside the giant gut

At the heart of the Festival will be our exhibition piece, a massive, walk-through human digestive system. Your visit – free of charge – will give you a unique and memorable inside-view of how the microbiome works…from the way our mouths deal with food and drink through to the incredible microbial activity inside our stomachs.

Free healthy living insights at our daily Festival events

Alongside the giant gut, you will find pavilion stands and expert health advisers, chefs and therapists – all on hand for short talks, demonstrations and free advice.  Look out for more details and timings as we firm up the programme in the weeks ahead.

A special invitation to health professionals,  community groups, local workers and schools
