Dr Robert Verkerk (PhD)

Founder, Alliance for Natural Health

Rob Verkerk PhD is an internationally recognised multi-disciplinary scientist with over four decades

of experience in health, agriculture, and environmental sustainability, spanning the non-profit sector, academia, and consultancy.

 

He holds MSc and PhD degrees from Imperial College London, where he also completed 7 years of postdoctoral research. His scientific background has fuelled his passion for applying ecological and regenerative principles to health, driving innovative thinking at the intersection of human and planetary health.

 

In 2002, Dr Verkerk founded the non-profit Alliance for Natural Health International and has acted as its executive and scientific director since. In April 2023, after being ANH-USA’s scientific director for 15 years, Dr Verkerk also became the organisation’s executive and scientific director.


Dr Verterk has authored more than 60 papers in scientific journals and conference proceedings.
