Sue Camp

Registered Nutritional Therapist and Functional Medicine Practitioner

Friday 26th September 12.00-13.00

Sue is a Registered Nutritional Therapist and Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner.

She completed a BSc and MSC in Personalised Nutrition with CNELM in 2012 and then spent 5 years working in Clinical Education with the functional testing laboratories. She completed her Practitioner Certification with the Institute of Functional Medicine (IFM) in November 2019.

Sue utilises the systems biology approach of Functional Medicine aiming to explore the underlying cause of a disease process rather than managing symptoms. The approach is personalised and considers biochemical individuality and aims to include the client in the process of healing.

In her clinical practice she focuses particularly on the impacts of stress, digestive health, weight management, hormone balance and optimising overall performance.

In addition to running her own private practice, Sue works in Clinical Education in the nutraceutical industry and leads the nutrition team for the HealthMatters Group in Central London.

Sue enjoys running, open-water swimming, kayaking and paddle-boarding. She loves the balance she gets from a combination of hot yoga and dark chocolate

Talk: Mouth matters: how your oral health shapes gut health, immunity and more

Did you know your mouth is more than just the gateway to your digestive tract—it’s a thriving microbial ecosystem that influences your gut, immune system, and even brain health?

We’ll explore how imbalances in the oral microbiome—caused by common habits like poor dental hygiene, stress, or ultra-processed foods—can drive inflammation, gut dysbiosis, and chronic disease. Discover the vital connection between bleeding gums, bad breath, and deeper issues like IBS, heart disease, and Alzheimer's.

You'll learn how to support a healthy mouth-gut axis with practical, evidence-based strategies that go beyond brushing and flossing.

From food choices to natural oral care practices, this session will empower you to take charge of your health—starting with your smile.
