Dr Caitlin Hall (PhD, RD)
Registered Dietitian, Neuroscientist, and Microbiome Researcher
Wednesday 24th September 14.00-1500
Dr Caitlin Hall, PhD, RD is a registered dietitian, neuroscientist, and microbiome researcher, specialising in the gut–brain axis and female health. She completed her PhD in neurosciences
and gut microbiology at the University of Queensland and was a visiting researcher at King’s College London, investigating how gut microbiome variability influences brain networks linked to anxiety
and depression. As Head of Research at myota, Caitlin studies how prebiotic fibres can improve
metabolic health, reduce inflammation, and support cognitive function and mood by modulating
the gut and its microbiota.

Talk: Brain food: the role of prebiotic fibre in reducing stress
The gut and brain are in constant conversation - sending signals that shape stress levels, mood, focus, sleep, and even how we connect with others. In this talk, Dr Caitlin Hall will take you inside this fascinating two-way communication system, revealing cutting-edge research on how prebiotic fibres can calm the mind, lift mood, and build resilience to stress. Drawing on her background as a neuroscientist, registered dietitian, and Head of Research at myota, she will share compelling clinical trial findings that uncover the gut’s role in mental health. Attendees will leave with fresh insights into how prebiotics work, the science driving this field forward, and practical ways to harness the gut–brain axis to improve everyday health.
