Our Big Biome
A Healthy Living Festival is our next exciting up and coming project that we intend to launch in 2025.
The Challenge
In England, more than one in five children are overweight or obese by age five and one in four children have tooth decay. Demand for child mental health services has surged. Young people’s health is in a worrying state. 185,000 18–24-year-olds are not working due to ill health. Child and adolescent mental health service referrals have soared by 76% since 2019, with 1.4 million seeking NHS mental health support last year. To tackle these alarming figures, a whole system approach and investment in long term prevention is priority.
Our Solution
GHP believe reducing health inequalities is a matter of fairness and social justice and everyone and every organisation has a role to play. We are currently in the planning stage for an innovative National festival bringing children and families, diverse communities, and existing health projects and professionals together to tackle health inequity across all communities in the UK.
Our Big Biome Festival will be a memorable and powerful opportunity to break down barriers and create social change.
This project will provide a critical platform, promoting engagement, positive impact and much needed collaboration for meaningful change whilst building capacity in the communities we deliver in.
